1. Who we are

CatalogChef ("we", "our", "us") is a WordPress plugin with a hosted backend that uses AI to categorize WooCommerce draft products into your menu and suggest product images for your review. Our contact email is personalaiseo@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

• Contact data: your email address when you start a free trial or subscribe. • Billing data: your subscription plan and billing status. Payment details (card numbers) are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. • Store data: the domain(s) you activate your license on and, when you run the tool, the product titles and barcodes (UPC/GTIN) of the draft products you process. We do not receive customer, order, or payment data from your store. • Learning data: brand-to-category associations derived from your category corrections, used to improve categorization accuracy. • Usage data: logs of API calls (categorization and image lookups) for debugging, billing, and product improvement.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: • Provide, operate, and improve CatalogChef. • Categorize your products and find product images using AI. • Send transactional emails (e.g. billing receipts). • Respond to support requests. • Comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with the following sub-processors, strictly to operate the service: • Stripe — payment processing • Render — hosting and infrastructure • Neon / PostgreSQL — database • OpenAI — AI categorization (product titles and barcodes are sent to determine the correct category) • Serper.dev — web and image search (product titles and barcodes are sent to find product photos) All sub-processors are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.

5. Cookies

The plugin runs inside your own WordPress admin and sets no tracking cookies. This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics scripts.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your license is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at personalaiseo@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (TLS) and server-side handling of all AI keys — the plugin only ever holds a license key, never an API key. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the plugin. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
